most of which is not a surprise it failed.

Most of those had inflated budgets due to technical (read tech) costs
that likely spiraled out of control because tech folk can bullshit better
than anyone these days, and non-tech folk fall for the bullshit because...
THEY JUST DON''T KNOW. And it's NEW. GROUNDBREAKING.

'mI sure the accountants involved have equally groundbreaking techniques.

Haven't seen most of those but might watch one when it streams, free
and I'm looking for something mindlessly entertaining.

Like last night I started Valerian, which is mega recycled STAR WARS shit with very
non-likable leads just for starters. I will never finish it and was just too tired to
get off the couch so got stuck with an hour of it. If I had to guess I'd say 80% of
that list would have the same effect on me. 10% might be good. 10% you'd have to
cut off a finger to get me to watch.

BR2049 was brilliant, that it lost money IS a surprise.

There will ALWAYS be movies, TOO much money floating around for potential
producers NOT to invest, PLENTY of bad scripts, LOTS of infrastructure for the
industry and bad actors are more plentiful than good baristas.

Frequently they are the same person.

Ever notice HOW many production "companies" are involved in any typical Netflix (for example)
production these days? Hell, there most be dozens of companies producing 1 minute
graphic designs for them all that have long waiting lists.

The Hollywood stardom/mingle draw seems to remain strong, and you know they
will take ANYONE'S money to get a "production" going.

Hollywood just seems to be The Producers, Get Shorty and The Player all
re-edited and jumbled into one long loop.

Soon too come?
