Yes, Charles did not want to go " Talkie " his bnrother and manger force him into it..I find it more than an brave effort..if you look at the " common " artist few have raise their voice against the nazis.
Curiously,I find Limelight ABSOLUTELY not dated,but more so " The Great Dictator "
As naivite can be love,any time,opposed to dated, a feeling we can not transport in , as we can not beleive in it...
The movie , today are mostly & plainly stupid.
