Replaced the small diodes that blew. Kept the ones that didn't and everything checks out. Transistors were fine and the filaments on the 300Bs lit!

So grateful that this was a relatively simple fix. Electronics is fun and has kept me happy and busy over the years but electricity is an invisible force that can kill one if one is not paying attention!
