..I just got my pro520 on 3/3/02 and love this set!!. I have been looking at the hdtv's since they came out and the Pioneer blows away the competition! All the reviews rate it as tops in performance and build quality has no comparisons. I originally was going to buy a pro720 but I am glad that I purchased the 520. Here is why.....my local retailer has approximately 15 to 20 big screen tv's within one room. When I saw the 520 next to the big boys it looked quite small and figured the 720 was the one to buy. However, after reviewing it with my wife and my finances, the 720 and the 620 would have been too massive for my family room. I suggest you look closely at your space.....it could save you a lot of money!! One thing to be very careful about.....Pioneer will NOT honor their warranty if you purchase the Elite line from an etailer. You will find etailers who claim otherwise, however, all you have to do is call pioneer and they spell it out quite clearly! If you shop around locally, you can get a good deal. I paid $4595.00 and got the thing delivered for another $50.00 including set-up. I did find an etailer that would sell it for $3900.00 on-line but by the time I added shipping and extended warranty I only saved about $200.00 to $300.00 dollars. The peace of mind knowing that I had local support and that there was no question as to the validity of the factory warranty was very impotant to me!! Good luck!!
