I am planning to integrate a high end stereo system into my home theater system by adding a preamp between my amp and HT pre/pro, adding a two channel amp to replace the L/R from the 5 channel HT amp, and changing my CD player. Before even doing research on amps, preamps and new digital front end, I was wondering in what order should I purchase my components to give the most significant change in stereo listening? I am planning on spacing out my purchases about 3 or 4 months apart for each addition and would like to hear the most significant improvements upfront. I started with my speakers... I recently purchased a used pair of JM Reynaud Trentes on Lovan stands.I currently have a Rotel Pre/Pro, Rotel 5 channel amp and Sony SACD C333ES player.
