Had that problem a couple of years ago.. Everything was going from prologic to DD/DTS. Almost pre-ordered an Acurus Act-3 (only $1500). Thank god I didn't. They had big problems at first. You not only need to wait until they are out, you need to leave time for people to find the first bugs to be fixed.Do yourself a favor and be patient. Another option would be to buy a pre that is already available and has already had the bugs worked out.
The new preamps are more like computers.. every six months there will be a new one with a better features.
I ended up with a B&K ref 10 and am very happy.
