I seen your post several days ago... and didn't know what to think about it.
I commend you on your fine choice of equipment.
Last night, I had a very disturbing thing happen. My left tower speaker (JMLab 715) lost volume. Well, to make a long story short... the banana termination to my reciever (Marantz SR7200) had gone flaky. By pressing on it, the speaker actually change volume and timber. Very strange! Eventually, it quit working all together.
This probably has nothing to do with your problem... but isn't it interesting?
