I would lean towards the Panasonic. I've found that Toshiba are more difficult to calibrate. If you like the Toshiba better, go into the menu for changing picture characteristics and see whether the picture shifts when you go into the edit mode. The Panasonic requires calibration to get the best picture. The factory defaults are not good.
