I saw "Conspiracy Theory" in a THX certified theater once and they used DTS. It was the cleanest sound in a movie theather I have ever heard. I saw "Cast Away" in a local theater that was built about 3 years ago and the sound was off-balance, too loud on the loud parts and too quiet on the soft parts. They were also using DTS. It is just a matter of how the theater is set up. The balance of surround and front has to be perfect in most listening areas(75%) of the theater seating area for any of the formats to sound good. DD&SDDS are good, but DTS is the best of the three.
