There were some initial software problems but these should have been ironed out by now.
I've gone down the Meridian 800 path because it has a high end reputation for CD, DVD-A as well as DVD but it has been an expensive path to follow.
Denon seems to have a lot of fans on AVS so use their search engine to check out the various models.
