Funny lines on my XBR

Hey, I just got a used sony kv-27xbr55. The picture looked great when I got it., but I began to notice an odd wavy pattern on the screen, especially when the set has been on for a while. The pattern is typically one or two parabola-shaped wavy things that open to the left and stretch to the right. It does not affect the picture shape itself, but just spreads over it. It appears with the tuner and other inputs, such as DVD. Any ideas what this is, and whether it can be eliminated with an adjustment, or if it needs to go back to the shop for serious work? I like the set a lot otherwise.
