I needed a low loss 50 ft cable becasue my store bought cable produced flicker in my projector. I used equal lengths of Belden RG-6U with standard RF ends (forget what they are called). Then you use adaptors to BNC and get BNC to S-Video cables. The Belden wire is $0.11 per foot, the adaptors and cables will cost about $15. This will knock the socks off other stuff out there but it is not flexable.Cable loss is related to cross sectional area of the cable. The fatter the cable, the less loss. Dual RG-6U makes for a fat low loss cable. Hard to do better. Of course, the longer the cable, the more loss. Therefore, longer cables need to be fatter than shorter cables.
