The "Large/Small" speaker controls (selecting "small" sends low frequencies to the subwoofer instead of the mains; this is what bass managment is) won't work with SACD or DVDA. The cheapest option for Bass Management it to use the crossover in your subwoofer (assuming you have one). This may only cover the Front Left and Right speakers, but I understand most SACD recordings are 2 channel (I don't have one, but this is what I've read).Beyond this, I am aware of only two external Bass Management systems: The Outlaw you mentioned is the less expensive. The other is M&K (check out www.mksound.com).
