Just to repeat what I said before. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FLAT PICTURE TUBE !!!! It does not exist and it never will. The more tube is curved, the better is geometry and viewing angle. Everyone who knows how tube works, knows that it MUST be curved. And tube that you see as flat, is all but flat.
Only flat screens are LCD and plasma, and maybe some other space-technology that I didn't see yet. But flat tube is just as possible as flat Earth.
RPTV should have curved screen as well, but that creates too much of an engineering chalange to make such hard, translucent material, and still to be flexable when your kid hits a head, so it was given up, and geometry and focus suck in RPTV.
All projectors require curver projecting screen, but we don't have them. They suck too.
Like I said, if you want it flat it must be either direct view LCD or plasma.
