Maybe try the avsforum for definite info. The 82 apparently doesn't use the same chipsets as the 56 and 62. It uses something from Sage-Faroudja though. It doesn't have the chroma bug, if that's your query direction. It doesn't have the saturation flicker like the 56/62 have.This is from reports, I don't have an 82. I ordered an 82 in May, won't get it for ~2 weeks they say, can compare with a 56 then. From what I've read from users, and the decision I made back in May from available info, the 82 is definitely worth the small extra cost over the 62. Note the 82 only comes in silver, and it doesn't look exactly like nor have the same features as all the advance info said. The DVD-A doesn't have bass management, which is a real lacking.
