The less expensive Toshiba sets are made this way. I'm assuming your TV has component in (Video 2 on the Toshiba sets); if that's the case, use component cables from the DVD to Video 2 (better picture than S-Video too), and then use Video 1 (or S-Video) from a satellite receiver, or straight co-ax from regular cable or VCR into the TV.
