I have a Levinson 334 power amplifier that I use in a two channel audio system. I'd like to integrate this system into my surround sound system, but my preamp does not have a unity gain pass-through. The power amplifier has both XLR and RCA inputs, there is no selection switch for these inputs on the back of the amplifier. Is there any reason I can't simply connect the preamp outs on my AV reciever to the RCA inputs, and connect my two channel pre-amp to the XLR inputs? Doesn't seem that there would be any problem so long as I was not using the reciever and the preamp at the same time.Thanks.
