i made up my own system type of set-up using the rotel 985 processor and i'm very satisfied with it. i don't know how it compares to other systems that people have, but now that i have a 64 inch hdtv to accompany the sound, i don't know if there are too many better systems out there.and i really do love the whole home theater thing.
it's really fantrastic to rent dvd for 2 bucks and have an amazing audio/visual xperience.i'm a rotel preamp, processor and cd player fan. they have great values in these areas of equipment. if something else claims to be better, i won't consider it unless i do an a/b with the rotel, cause the rotel is likely to be better.
the rotel is a great processor, and it's also excellent for stereo sound.
