I borrowed the Toy Story 3 disc box set, which according to the chroma article at secrets of home theater, most clearly shows the problem. Using the DVD menu and the 2 scenes they described I could not detect the problem, but I found the problem hard to detect (although I could see it) on a much older DVD player on an older TV. I can say using the Sony NS-755V and a Sony 40XBR700 TV I could not detect any chroma bug, the DVD was set to progressive output.
