Toshiba SD-4800 Vs. Panasonic RP-82 Vs. Pioneer DV-656a

Hi All,

Could any of you gurus please sort these players in terms of:

a) Reliability - Would like it to last longer than my JVC XV701BK, which died on me after 3 years (used to play 2 movies/week on it), if that's possible.
b) Quality (Video & Audio, in terms of DACs etc. - incidentally, which format is more likely to catch on, DVD-Audio or SACD?)

I have a Nakamichi AV-1s receiver that lacks Dolby digital/DTS decoders so I need a DVD player that has these decoders built-in (offering a 5.1 output). I don't plan on buying a HDTV anytime soon, so their progressive scan capabilities aren't an issue here.

I know these players are new to the market, so not much data is available for any of them, but if you could factor in past performance of similar players fielded by these companies, that would be of great help to me!

I have a budget of about $250, so if you could suggest a DVD player other than the ones I listed that would fit the bill, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!
