My Toshiba Theater wide is dying...nny advice on best RPTV to repace it with?

Any recommendations or suggestions on replacement for my dying Toshiba 48 inch? Don't need anything too big--I've seen a new RCA 61 inch (though it would be a bit of a stretch, size-wire, it looks pretty nice. I'd especially like something this thin. I don't know much about the options, having dropped out of the video 'window shopping' and research into what's available since I picked up the Toshiba 5 years ago (but I certainly expected this RPTV to last longer than this! At least a couple years more while plasmas got better and cheaper.)
Open to any thoughts--input will be Motorola digital cable, LD, 2 tape decks, analog cable, dvd. Have self-powered floorstanding Sony prologic (alas!) with infrared surround (probably looking to upgrade that too...and so I don't use a receiver/HT amp rig.
