About to get my first > 12" TV, and would like a very good 32" or 36" widescreen for watching tapes and DVDs--no TV. The nice TV salesman told me that differences in picture quality mainly apply to TV signals, and that for DVD, it's all much of a muchness, provided I got a flat screen. For example, he thought 50 Hz vs. 100 Hz would be irrelevant to me, along with a host of other features (tuners, etc.). So what should I be looking for? Any recommendations for a movie-only TV would be much appreciated.
