Need Help on choosing between Sony and Samsung

What would I be better off with, the HD ready Samsung 30 inch (16:9) aspect, or a new sony wega kv32fv300 32 inch with 16:9 enhanced mode. I can get the sammy for 1K, and the sony for 829. it seems like the samsung is a giant killer for the money. Any issues I should know on either? The sony is 4:3. Btw, being that the samsung is already 16:9 it shows all the resolution without needing any squeeze feature like the sony does right? This means no black bars right? I don't know why, but i just have a stigma with samsung. PLease help, must purchase by the first week of december!!
