I have Panasonic DVD-LV65 and highly recommend it. It plays DVD, SVCD, VCD, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, MP3 on CDR or CDRW. It also has a SD card slot that allow you to display JPEG, MPEG4, MP3 files on SD memory card. It has the same support of SVCD has the Panasonic RP82 and displays SVCD title - it plays SVCD better than most other Chinese made el-cheapo dvd players. LV65 is made in Japan and is beautifully constructed. With the battery attached it is the SMALLEST portable DVD player with screen (5 inch wide screen) on market. Finally, the extended Li-Ion battery cost only $70-80 and will give you 4 hours of battery life as compare to the standard battery that runs 2 hours.
