I own a DVD the box of which contains a globe symbol with a zero superimposed on it. My understanding is that this means the disc is unrestricted and should be playable on a DVP from any "region". However, I tried it on a basic, entry level U.S. Sony DVD player, and all I got was a text message to the effect that the disc could not be played in this zone. Does anyone know what the problem might be, and how I can get the disc to play? Thanks.
