I just bought a sony 51 inch rear projection TV. it lasted 1 month. Thank god I bought it from sears! I had the maintenance agreement and I told them I did not want this TV! the color went bad. it changed from blue to green to red overtones and it flickered from light to dark every 5 seconds or so. I decided to go with a hitachi 51 inch rear projection. I have not found any complaints and the salesman I have spoken to think its one of the best out there. I also had a sony reciever and centerchannel that went bad, within the past year. they were only 2 years old. I wont buy SONY again. I also heard a rumor that hitachi has been commisioned to make SONY RPTV next year.(since they obviously cant do it right)
