I think this is a great A/V receiver to consider. It boasts dual 32-bit processors for surround decoding, video conversion(composite to S-video), stereo and multichannel analog direct modes which outputs analog signals without digital processing, 7.1-channel preamp out, 3-room/3-source capability, an RS-232C port for control and software upgrades, digital and video power management which turns off power to any unnecessary digital/video circuits, resulting in a cleaner sound. But like always, specs don't mean anything until you have a listen for yourself.
