You can't afford to save that much ...

Be careful not to substitute quality for savings. I'd recommend 32" that is 16:9 ready, but not 16:9 widescreen. Widescreen will cost you more and 99% of current content will be distorted.

My choice from most to least expensive in this category is:

Sony
Toshiba
Samsung

I've just gone through this comparison shopping ordeal and I ended up with the Sony. Also keep in mind that there can be considerable variance between dealers. good luck!
