1800plasma.com provides dimensions with the specs. As for recommended distance, 42" is about 8-10' and 50" is about 10-12' from the screen. Of course, your eyes may prefer a foot more or less in either direction. It may also depend on the source -- digital cable and satellite can be less than appealing at times. Hi-Def's another matter -- it's awesome. For prices, you can try http://www.plasmaextreme.com and there's plenty of discussion at http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=40 if you are interested. Seen the new Fujitsu P50XHA10US? I think Webster will include it in their next edition as a definition of "lust".
