I am brand new to the DVD crowd, and have only played two DVDs, but there were some brief freezing problems on one. I bought them both brand new. Star Wars II Attack of the Clones played fine, but The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition (spread over two DVDs) froze for a second in five or six places over the two DVDs (I haven't played the other two DVDs with the extras on them yet). I have a Panasonic RV 32 player. My brother said he has had DVDs freeze occasionally (he has a Philips DVD player). I just wondered if this is to be expected since the technology is relatively new, or if I should try a new DVD or new player. Thanks.
