A friend of mine is considering selling his Onkyo HT receiver and going with seperates. He is eye balling a pretty good deal on a used Rotel five channel amp and the Rotel RSP 976 processor. This has started me thinking, which is always a dangerous thing when it comes to gear.
What are the advantages to using seperates vs. a high quality receiver? Are the gains worth the added exspense? Thanks for your input and advice.
