I forgot to describe the picture problem. The video looks like 50/50 snow/picture. Horizontal picture shift with slight horizontal roll. Very little color, mostly B/W. A very thin bar of clear video at the bottom of the screen. Could it be possible that this deck has been set up for a format other than NTSC? (since I can not even play my pre-recorded tapes from my camcorder) The manual lists that it is NTSC. Could it be that the heads are just shot? I guess anything is possible.
