Shop carefully and in your price range you may be able to get the Rotel RSX-1055. I would also consider the Denon AVR-3803 and the Pioneer Elite VSX-43TX, both in your price range. BTW, I am assuming you are looking for an A/V receiver, not just a stereo receiver.
