Best thing is do visit the AVS forum and look/ask around.

I went through this 2+ years ago, so I know the feeling. It's very easy to spend a lot of money on something you won't be happy with, so choose wiseley! (Heck, it took me a couple weeks just to reach a conclusion on the DLP vs. LCD debate... I went with LCD.)
