I bought an H/K PA-4000 eight channel power amp and need to remotely turn on/off and control the volume of two bridged pairs SEPERATELY!
One pair powers LR speakers and the other powers pool speakers and I need to be able to turn one on and off without the other which seems can only be done if I use the H/K KP-1 keypad which connects via RJ-47 jacks on the back panel..... it is unclear as the whether the volume can be controlled separatly via IR.
Anyone know this amp? H/K provides precious little info about the actual contact closures of the keypad jacks that would enable individual control of the amps.(see http://www.harmankardon.com/faq/showFaqanswer.asp?faqId=901 )
By the way, I was intending to use a Niles Intellepad remote with an IR sensor for the Living Room pair and just an IR sensor for the pool pair and the receiver is an H/K AVR-525 which powers the theatre and provides a separate output for a remote zone.
