First of all I must say I like this unit. Sounds very good. I also have the Denon 2900. This is a supurb combination. Everything is still breaking in including the speakers but the sound keeps getting better and better.
When I get time I'm going to try running both in the full analog modes.
This means according to the 3803 manual that the subwoofer has to be shut off via the OSD.
Currently I have the sub-out set at 40hz since my mains go down to 35hz easily. However I don't want to lose the impact of a 12" sub reproducing 27hz kick-drums in rock or jazz.
My question is if I am using the Ext-In jacks for all channels including the sub will I lose the sub output on that channel when I go "Pure Direct" on the 3803? I would think that all channels would remain active and in analog.
I'll let you know what I find out. In the meantime does anyone have any set-up refinements or undocumented capabilities they'd care to pass along? Abe? Bill
