Get a SOTA progressive DVD player. While you're at it a unit like the Philips dvd963sa will provide superb sound at the same time, though it's a little pricy. Save the DVI input for your HDTV source. Don't believe what thay say about DVD through DVI being like HDTV. It can't be-look at the specs. Though it can be terrific.

In any event, that's what I did.

Besides there are only 2 players with DVI output and each has been reported to have problems.
