DirecTV "rain fade"

Is it me or has DirecTV become increasingly more suseptable to "rain fade?" I've had the service for about two years now and have always had some signal loss during *bad* weather. But it seems that the last few months I've got trouble every time it just rains. I've tweaked and re-tweaked my dish and I'm convinced it's aimed for maximum signal stength, which on some transponders ain't nuthin' to write home about.
Has anyone else made a similar observation?
