Re: DVD choice for two-channel set up

I have done a couple things that have improved my A/V setup based on the following;
1. Upgraded my modest Pioneer DV-533k internal 27mhz clock (cheap??) with LC Audio Clock and power supply. Cost approx. US$300. Picture output is much more "stable" and sound quality sounding less "digital" and more coherent whether it's DTS, 5.1 or PCM 2 channel stereo.
2. Use a PS Audio's Ultimate Outlet to feed power to the TV. Picture quality has improved. Cost approx. US$400; Colors are more vivid, picture has more depth or 3D like, blacks are blacker....etc.
I do not have "specialised" cables though for the above setup but probably this will be my next upgrade to reap the benefits of what I have done so far.
Enjoy and hope this helps.
