I want to purchase a wide screen television for the home theater I am building in my basement. I have about $3500 to spend and am trying to decide which model I should purchase. It needs to be about 50" to fit the cabinet I am building for it. I have considered the Samsung DLP but cannot make up my mind. I am not a videophile nor do I hold particularly discriminating tastes. I am simply looking for a quality product with a good picture. Any suggestions? Also, I have an older Samsung DVD-player that will probably need replacing in the near future. What kind of a player will be necessary to provide a good enough signal to take advantage of a $2000 - $4000 range television?
Any responses would be greatly appreciated
