Our Barco 808s/VSE40 combo has had over 5000 hours work in the last 3.5 years and is on for 4 to 5 hours nearly every night. We mostly look at s-VHS time shifted documentaries & movies taken off satellite & (to a much lesser extent) free to air TV.

I understand the normal life to be expected from these CRT projectors is about 10,000 hours so we are about half way there. It will be interesting to see what has evolved in 3 years time and whether the choice will be tube replacement or a new projector.
