Upgrading Take 5 system with Paradigm Studio 20s

I have the Take 5.1 system hooked up to a Yamaha surround receiver (100wpc). It's fine for movies, but I've been listening to music dvd's and it falls short(all cables and interconnects are pretty good). I just replaced my Studio 20's with Merlin's on my stereo, and was thinking of putting the Paradigms as the front speakers on my surround system. Would that work? Would they overwhelm the remaining Energys speakers? How would I rebalance the system? Or is this a big mistake?
