I bought it new for about $1400 a few years ago. I can highly recommend the Denon line. They are very nice HT receivers. Previous to the Denon I had several Sony receivers that were ok. Assuming you don't get some hard to drive speakers, I really think a Denon receiver is an excellent choice.Good Luck... Paul
