Re: Toshiba Combo vcr/dvd

152.3.3.199

Normally I'd say avoid ANY combo player like the plague, but for $99, that doesn't sound like a bad deal for a bedroom system. I have used (and loved) my Toshiba for over 7 years now... with only the occasional cleaning, it has performed like a champ and caused no problems.

I've also owned Sony & RCA and have installed Sharp, RCA, and JVC in professional settings... of the lot, I've only had major problems with Sony. Sharp aren't great on the features, but they're durable as hell. RCA usually holds up OK, but I've had some problems with the sound on them. I don't have much experience with JVC, but the ones I've used look good. But Toshiba still wins out in my mind. I'd say go for it.
