I positively love my Samsung DVD-HD1000 player, Faroudja processing, dip switch for 480p, 720p, or 1080i. Excellent sounding audio as well. There is some confusion to me whether all players will do what mine will. Mine did have a mod done to it as I understand it. I purchased it used. I was told if material was copy protected, it would flicker and revert to 480p. mine has never flickered.Lex
