All,I just got a nice used laser disc player from eBay and am taking advantage of the relatively low prices of used LDs to fill out my movie collection.
I was aware of the chroma noise problem with this medium before I got the player. I do notice it, though it's not severe enough to detract from my viewing pleasure. I'm wondering if this would be alleviated by using the S-video output on my LD player (which I can't test with my current TV, as it has only composite and component inputs, but which I'd like to take advantage of when I eventually upgrade my TV). Or, is this noise inherent in the chrominance information recorded on the LDs?
