Hey i bought the D1 a few months back , the first one i got broke after i used a Cleaning disc in it , the second one i got ( free ) is Perfect , Teamed with the Sony XBR910 DVi input , the pic is great , even on a HDTV analog Pic .. It plays all dics , All DVD Xcopy disc's etc , even plays divc files .. the player it self is cheap feeling and the remote sucks , but who cares , it puts out a amazing picture
