What's the best way of connecting the 2nd sub ??

Hi,
I have a nice 5.1 HT setup and would like to add an extra sub and place the two subs in the left front corner and right front corner.
I have a 5.1 pre with only one LFE output. What is best?
- Should I split the cable from the pre (lfe) and run two separate cables to the subs?
- or should I connect the second sub to the extra outputs on the 1st sub?
- or maybe some have other suggestions?
