NEC 50-Inch Plasma for $5000........Good Deal???

One of my neighbors has a chance to land a brand new NEC 50-inch plasma for $5,000. This price would include wall-mounted installation and manufacturer's warranty. Neither of us are sure whether this is truly a good deal. Please share you thoughts.
