Anyone any experience or have opinion on this JVC hd-DVD recorder?

Ignore the price in Aussie dollars - prices much cheaper in the USA.
This unit only just released here but has been out in the UK for awhile but apparently experienced reliability problems. Anyone know anything about the unit?
